Country Creatures has brought its signature Cotswold charm to Oxfordshire’s luxury shopping destination with the opening of The Double Red Duke at Bicester Village.
Founded by Sam and Georgie Pearman, Country Creatures is known for its warmth, craftsmanship, and culinary flair – qualities that shine through in this stylish new outpost of their celebrated Cotswold retreat in Clanfield. The Double Red Duke at Bicester Village offers shoppers and visitors an inviting place to eat, drink, and unwind in true Country Creatures style.
At the heart of the restaurant is an open kitchen where chefs celebrate the art of cooking over flame, showcasing the finest seasonal British produce. The menu runs from breakfast through to dinner, making it perfect for everything from a leisurely brunch to an elegant evening meal after a day of retail therapy.
Guests can start the day with a traditional English breakfast or the signature DRD muffin before moving on to comforting dishes crafted with flair. Expect bar snacks like Chipolatas with mustard, Westcombe cheddar toasties with pickled walnuts, and classic sausage rolls.
Starters include Beef tartare with beef dripping toast and wood-fired scallops with chervil and tarragon butter, while the mains feature Fish and chips with peas and tartare sauce, as well as the daily pie with mash, greens, and gravy. From the grill, highlights include flat-iron steak, Veal chop, and Rotisserie half chicken with burnt lemon and garlic mayonnaise.
Desserts bring a touch of indulgence – think Apple and blackberry crumble with Neal’s Yard double cream and Sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream.
To accompany the food, the bar serves a curated wine list from favourite vineyards, local beers such as Allsopp’s Best Bitter, English fine cider, and a line-up of classic cocktails including the Duke Dirty Martini and Whiskey Ginger.
Now open, The Double Red Duke at Bicester Village promises a relaxed, stylish space where great food, design, and hospitality come together – continuing the legacy of one of the Cotswolds’ most beloved inns.
In early 2026, The Double Red Duke will introduce a full afternoon tea service, pairing freshly baked scones, cakes, and sandwiches with sparkling wines from Oxfordshire’s own 100 Hills.
