Your guide to the best of 2025 Silverstone Festival this Bank Holiday weekend

The 2025 Silverstone Festival returns to the legendary home of the British Grand Prix this Bank Holiday weekend (22 to 24 August)

Packed with thrilling motorsport, live music, and family-friendly entertainment, this three-day celebration is the perfect way to enjoy the last days of summer with something for everyone.

With so much to see and do, we’ve picked out ten things you won’t want to miss out on:

1. Celebrate F1 at 75

This year marks the 75th anniversary of Formula 1’s very first World Championship race — held right here at Silverstone in 1950. To celebrate, the Festival presents the World Champions Collection: a stunning assembly of cars from all 34 F1 World Champions, from legends like Juan Manuel Fangio and Sir Jackie Stewart to today’s stars, including Fernando Alonso, Max Verstappen, and Sir Lewis Hamilton. It’s the first time gathering such a complete collection, making it a truly unmissable tribute for fans, new and old.

2. Enjoy Thrilling Racing

Motorsport takes centre stage with over 30 hours of non-stop retro racing action. Witness historic F1, GT, sports, and touring cars battle it out on the track — bringing motorsport’s golden eras spectacularly to life. Fan favourites return alongside exciting new races for an adrenaline-fuelled experience.

3. Party On

The Festival seamlessly blends motorsport with music for a lively atmosphere that the whole family can enjoy. Head to the main stage each evening and dance the night away to headline acts like Natasha Bedingfield, Craig David presents TS5, and Ministry of Sound Classical. If the weather’s kind, don’t miss the magical hot air balloon night glow to top off your evening.

4. Make an F1 Pit-Stop

Visit the Fan Zone to immerse yourself in the world of modern F1. See cars driven by homegrown heroes Sir Lewis Hamilton and George Russell, then try your hand at a real Pit Stop challenge using the Mercedes AMG F1 W09 EQ Power+ car, courtesy of the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team. The Atlassian Williams Racing zone also offers esports sim rigs, podium photo ops, STEM activities, plus face painting and balloon modelling for younger fans.

5. Bring the Kids for FREE!

Children under 16 attend for free when accompanied by a ticket-holding adult. Little ones can enjoy face painting, fairground rides, science and circus workshops, traditional garden games, mini golf, and more — all designed to keep young explorers entertained throughout the weekend.

6. Feel the Rush

The Adrenaline Zone is packed with heart-pounding thrills. Take a spin on the Michelin Big Wheel, watch jaw-dropping BMX, in-line, and scooter stunt performances from Team Extreme, and join the Army for hands-on combat activities — there’s no shortage of excitement here.

7. Get Revved-Up

Car enthusiasts will love the Shift and Drift Zone, where flame-throwing dragsters roar, retro hot rods cruise, world record-holder Terry Grant pulls off incredible stunts, and rally car demos provide edge-of-your-seat excitement.

8. Experience Formula Food

Foodies can dive into the Festival’s popular Foodie Fest, featuring live demos from star chefs like Great British Bake Off winners Matty Edgell and David Atherton, plus 2024 MasterChef champion Brin Pirathapan. Sample artisan market treats, enjoy tasting tents, and visit the pop-up from Diddly Squat Farm.

9. Spend Classic Times

Over 100 car clubs showcase an awe-inspiring collection of classic cars — from nostalgic icons to rare models. Look out for special milestone celebrations with spectacular track parades honouring select marques.

10. Take a Look

All Festival ticket holders get free entry to the award-winning Silverstone Museum, an interactive experience of legendary race cars, immersive exhibits, and fascinating motorsport stories that bring the sport’s rich history to life.

And that’s just the beginning.

Explore the buzzing shopping village, place bids at the iconic car auction, take charity rides in supercars, try Mini Monster Truck driving, or drop in on pop-up car clinics hosted by Wheeler Dealers TV’s Mike Brewer and ‘F1 Elvis’ Marc Priestley.

With a wide range of tickets available — including camping and hospitality options — the Silverstone Festival offers unbeatable family fun and motorsport magic this Bank Holiday weekend.
