An evening with Richard E Grant

Garth Marenghi’s TerrorTome
Garth Marenghi, horror literature’s greatest living author, returns from the darkness (figurative darkness -he’s not a spelunker) with a rare public appearance to mark the release of his long-lost multi-volume horror epic TerrorTome. Hardback copies of TerrorTome will be available for purchase on the day. Be warned: signings are strictly time-limited.
Strictly Come Dancing The Professionals
Join a dazzling dozen of the world’s best professional dancers as they take to the road for the 2024 official Strictly The Professionals UK Tour. This exhilarating show will showcase the exceptional talent of 12 of TV’s beloved professional dancers, supported by incredible singers and a live band, all performed within the wonderful world of glamour and sparkle that fans know and love from the smash hit series.
May Morning 2024
May Morning is an annual event in Oxford, held on 01 May – a tradition stretching back over 500 years. The event typically attracts crowds of thousands of people – students and Oxford residents alike – who start gathering under the tower, on Magdalen Bridge, and along the High Street.

Jousting tournament at Blenheim Palace

Visitors will be transported back in time to a medieval tournament complete with authentic tiltyard, royal box, falconry, archery and hand-to-hand combat. Expect thrills – and maybe spills! – in an action-packed day of discovery.
Oxford Town and Gown 2024 (TBC)
Oxford Town and Gown is the oldest run in the series. It started in 1982 by local runners as a fun run to raise funds for muscular dystrophy, and still to this day, all profits from the race go to Muscular Dystrophy UK (MDUK). The race now attracts up to 6,000 runners every year.

Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour

Abingdon Air and Country Show 2024
From dynamic flying displays to arts and crafts stalls, the show has something for everybody. There’ll be aerobatic displays from warbirds and biplanes to modern-day jets. And plenty to see on the ground, too – from static aircraft displays and cockpits to sit inside to a great mix of stalls, classic vehicle displays, and country fayre traditions and craftsmanship.
