The Alchemist: Magnificats of Orlandus Lassus
Magnificat returns to Oxford to celebrate the genius and creativity of Orlandus Lassus, whose Magnificats paid tribute to other Renaissance masters by reimagining their music. Rich, dark-hued compositions by Josquin, Morales and Verdelot contrast with exuberant polychoral works, culminating in Lassus’ brilliant 10-voice setting, Aurora lucis rutilat.

Oxfordshire Mind Comedy Gala
Oxfordshire Mind and Jericho Comedy are taking over Oxford Playhouse for their annual Comedy Gala! All proceeds from the show go to supporting local mental health, and to date Jericho Comedy have raised over £136,000 for Oxfordshire Mind. Behzod Abduraimov – SJE Arts International Piano Series
Behzod Abduraimov stepped onto the international stage at the age of eighteen when he won first prize at the 2009 London International Piano Competition. Trained initially in Tashkent and then in the USA, his programme is one of scene painting and fantasy, with a mix of the familiar and the less well known.

Monica Sjöö
This significant new survey exhibition of Swedish artist, activist, writer and eco-feminist Monica Sjöö (1938-2005) at Modern Art Oxford emphasises Sjöö’s advocacy for gender justice, eco-feminism, matriarchy and social equities – made visible in her artistic practice and activist commitment alike. The exhibition is curated in partnership with Moderna Museet, Stockholm.

Into Battle: The Art of British War Comics
The county’s military history museum is collaborating with Oxford-based Rebellion Publishing on the new exhibition that will offer visitors a chance to explore the history of British war comics through the archives of classic comic titles such as War Picture Library and Battle Action.
