The New Year Honours List 2024 has been published, recognising the achievements and service of extraordinary people across the UK, and a raft of people across Oxfordshire have been recognised in the list.
Amongst them is a Knight Bachelor for Professor Neil Mortensen, a professor of colorectal surgery at the University of Oxford Medical School and, lately, President of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
Also on the list are Christopher Kingsley (Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Oxford-based video game developer Rebellion), Shaun Day (Headteacher of The Unicorn School in Abingdon), and Miriam Luke (a former British rower and silver Olympic medalist, and now President of the Henley Rowing Club).
