We’ve picked out all the Oxfordshire restaurants in the Michelin Guide Great Britain and Ireland 2022 to give you the inside track on some of the best places to eat in the county.
How many Michelin Guide restaurants are there in in Oxfordshire?
There are 25 Oxfordshire restaurants in total in the Michelin Guide UK 2022.
There are two Michelin Star restaurants in Oxfordshire, namely the two-starred Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’ Saisons in Great Milton and one-starred Nut Tree Inn in Murcott.
The only Bib Gourmand restaurant in Oxfordshire is The Bell Inn in Langford. This follows the closure of Oli’s Thai in Oxford. The Bib Gourmand is awarded for good quality, good value cooking (currently set at around £30.00 or under for 3 courses).
Michelin Guide Great Britain and Ireland 2022 also includes 21 Michelin Plate restaurants in Oxfordshire, including new additions to the list Bhoomi Kitchen in Oxford, The Double Red Duke in Clanfield and The Lamb Inn in Shipton-under-Wychwood, The Yurt at Nicholsons, Minster Mill at Minster Lovell.

Headington, Oxford
Sister to the original Bhoomi Kitchen in Cheltenham, this modern family-run restaurant in Oxford Headington serving south Indian inspired dishes is the only Indian restaurant in Oxford on the Michelin Guide list.
Henley-on-Thames

With impressive vaulted ceilings and original oak beams, The three AA rosette Mill and recent addition to the Michelin guide provides a wonderfully atmospheric backdrop for exceptional seasonal food and drink. Modern British dishes come with a creative touch and are prepared with care, letting the natural flavours and textures of the ingredients shine through.
Bicester
The Nut Tree Inn is a Michelin pub in Murcott serving refined seasonal modern British food. It occupies a 15th century thatched building beside a village pond, with heavy stone walls and lots of exposed woodwork, as well as a productive kitchen garden.
Binfield Heath, Henley-on-Thames

The Michelin Guide Great Britain & Ireland has added Minster Mill in Minster Lovell to the Michelin Guide list.
The Yurt at Nicholsons in North Aston, near Bicester, has been added to the Michelin Guide Great Britain & Ireland.
The Michelin Guide will unveil the new Michelin Stars, Green Stars and Special Awards for Great Britain and Ireland 2022 on 15 and 16 February 2022. The complete Great Britain & Ireland Michelin Guide 2022 will be published in digital format on 16 February, and we’ll be sure to update the Michelin Guide 2021 list with the Oxfordshire restaurants that make it into the 2022 guide.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, the launch of Michelin Guide Great Britain & Ireland 2022 will take place digitally this year. The decision to hold this year’s presentation in a digital-only format was taken in consideration of the wellbeing, safety and convenience of chefs, restaurateurs and the Michelin team. The Michelin Guide 2021 awards ceremony for the UK and Ireland which took place on 25 January 2021 was also digital event.
The Michelin Guide Great Britain & Ireland has announced the addition of Bhoomi Kitchen in Oxford to the Michelin Guide list.
The fifth live release by the Michelin Guide also saw The Double Red Duke in Clanfield and The Lamb Inn in Shipton-under-Wychwood added to the list ahead of the annual launch ceremony, when the new Michelin Stars, Bib Gourmands and Green Stars will be unveiled.
Meanwhile, 215 Kitchen & Drinks in Oxford Summertown has announced that it would not reopen in the new year. There are plans to replace it with a ‘new concept’ that will open in February.
Oli’s Thai, which holds a Michelin Bib Gourmand has said it would be closing in February and potentially reopening as a new establishment called Elle’s Deli in April or May 2022.
