It may officially be the end of summer, but the British Autumn may yet surprise us with some spectacular sunny spells. From comedy to concerts, funfairs to country fairs, there’s something in stock for everyone in Oxfordshire this September. And if you fancy venturing further afield, consider a cultural day trip to London’s west end for a weekend matinee in one of the London’s theatres (the capital city is relatively calmer then) .

The annual fun fair held in Oxford City Centre dates back to 1625 when it was a parish festival to celebrate the feast of the patron saint, St Giles, and is held on the Monday and Tuesday following the first Sunday after St Giles’ Day (01 September).

The Oxford Wine Festival 2021 brings together 40 leading wine merchants and vineyards in one of Oxford's most iconic buildings - the Oxford Union. Expect hundreds of award-winning and rare wines from over twenty countries, accompanied by live music, food, and tutored tastings from the world's foremost wine authorities.
From dynamic flying displays to static aircraft displays, cockpits to sit in, as well as a great mix of re-enactment stalls, classic cars, country fayre, and arts and craft stalls - the Abingdon Air and Country Show 2021 will have something for everybody.

Oxford Open Doors 2022 is a weekend that celebrates Oxford’s heritage and culture by giving everyone the chance to get behind Oxford’s closed doors. explore the colleges, university buildings and green spaces together with a range of other varied and hidden heritage sites across the city - many of which are not usually open to members of the public.
Celebrating the music of the legendary West Coast Country Rock band, The Illegal Eagles return in 2022 for another outstanding show featuring the very best from the Eagles’ catalogue of classics, including Hotel California, Desperado, Take It Easy, New Kid In Town, Life In The Fast Lane and many more.

Organised by Henley & District Agricultural Association - a charity dedicated to promoting and improving agriculture, horticulture and the breeding and rearing of livestock - the Henley Farm & Country Show 2021 will take place on Saturday 11 September 2021 at The Henley Showground from 8.30 am to the last Main Ring event at 5.00 pm.
Fasten your seatbelts and get ready for an awe-inspiring ride. In December 2015, Tim became the first British astronaut to visit the International Space Station (ISS) to conduct a spacewalk (and run a marathon!) whilst orbiting Earth. Join him on an epic and thrilling journey to the ISS as part of his UK tour.

The Witney Feast will take place on Monday 12 and Tuesday 13 September at its historic home on The Leys, Witney, with the traditional Golden Gallopers service on the evening of Sunday 11 September 2022, and it’s set to be a spectacular event.

Internationally renowned singer, composer and actor David Essex has announced his first major tour in over four years. The 18-date UK tour taking place in September will see him perform much-loved hits spanning over his entire repertoire.

Don’t miss the annual Thame Fun Fair that transforms Thame’s High Street for three days in September into a mini theme park with rides, bumper cars and candyfloss. The fair starts on the third Thursday of September, with the Mayor of Thame officially opening the event at 4.00pm. The funfair runs for three days until Saturday
The ultimate uptown experience returns to a venue near you in 2022! Hugely acclaimed singer-songwriter and pianist Elio Pace is set to thrill audiences as he tours his smash-hit award-winning show The Billy Joel Songbook this autumn after a sell-out tour across the UK in 2022.
