Giffords Circus is a magical village green circus that tours England from the first days of spring to the first glimpse of winter, and they are back in 2022 with a brand-new show ¡Carpa! - the Spanish word ‘tent’ or a removable canvas roofed structure used for a travelling theatre, much like a circus. Expect a show full of skill, humour, turmoil and excitement from a talented troupe.

5. Join Lord Camoys for an epic display of Medieval Jousting
To celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, Lord Camoys, Commander of the Left Flank at the Battle of Agincourt, invites you to his annual Jousting Tournament at Stonor Park. Enjoy spectacular horseback stunts, as well as foot combat with medieval weaponry, falconry displays, 15th century black powder weapon displays, living history displays, Agincourt history theatre, a working medieval forge, archery, mouthwatering food and medieval costume competitions.

6. Join Oxford Phil in celebration of Brahms’s magisterial craft

7. Join in the annual Pride parade through the city centre
Oxford Pride is an important event that celebrates the LGBTQIA+ community and brings people together for an annual parade through the city centre on Pride Day, starting at 10.30 in Radcliffe Square and traveling through the city centre to Oxford Castle Quarter. But Oxford Pride is not isolated to one parade. Expect a variety of live entertainment, community and commercial market stalls plus food traders, and more dancing in the streets as the party continues into the evening.

Set in 1990s New York, Tick, Tick…Boom! tells the semi-autobiographical account of aspiring writer and composer Jonathan Larson. Through its 3 person cast, the show narrates Jon’s struggle to get his new musical Superbia produced, with his best friend Michael’s newfound success in the corporate world representing the confounding dilemma of a life with financial security and his girlfriend Susan representing the option to escape towards a more settled life.
