The unmissable Christmas markets in Oxford and across Oxfordshire
Ditch the department stores and wrap up all your Christmas shopping at Oxfordshire’s best festive markets and fairs for 2021. Christmas shopping’s never looked as good.
Markets, eh? They’re pretty enjoyable to wander around at nearly every time of year – especially if you go to a bougie one like the Summertown Artisan Farmers Market, where you can spend an entire Sunday afternoon sampling flavoursome treats from street food vendors.
But, at Christmas? Well, that’s when markets really come into their own.
Every year, throughout November and December, Oxfordshire fills with the kind of markets that host fairy-light-lined stalls, festive street food sellers and more.
In fact, whether you’re looking for tasty treats, traditional decorations, handpicked arts and crafts or just shopping for a last-minute present, the county’s selection of yuletide markets are here to help.

As we come out of the pandemic, local makers, creators and traders need your support more than ever and popping to a ceramics fair or a vintage furniture market is a great way to do just that.
Plus, you can’t deny that even a trip to the arty German-style chalet market on Oxford’s iconic Broad Street will be an unbeatable way to serve yourself up some festive feels.
We’ll be updating this page with more details of Christmas markets in Oxfordshire in 2021 as they are announced. But in the meantime, be sure to explore our section on Christmas in Oxfordshire.
