Sofas & Stuff has opened a new showroom in Henley-on-Thames. Situated in the heart of the town centre, the store is surrounded by historic streets and buildings, in one of the Thames Valley’s most picturesque towns.
The opening was planned for Monday 28 December 2020, but, unfortunately, following the announcement of new lockdown restrictions, the date has been postponed for pending revised government guidelines.
Showcasing a large selection of the brand’s bespoke sofas and chairs, the showroom will offer private design consultations, as well as after-hours appointments for the over 55s and guided tours via live video link.
Sofas & Stuff is the brainchild of founder and CEO Andrew Cussins, who began his career in 1980, starting out as an apprentice at his father’s long-standing furniture empire, Waring & Gillow. He went on to found Sofa Workshop, which he sold in 2002, after helping to furnish 750,000 living rooms. Noticing a gap in the market for bespoke, handmade, British sofas and beds, Andrew developed his creative vision with a plan to sell handcrafted pieces online and from quirky, non-high street locations.
The Sofas & Stuff story began in 2009 with just four employees in Fittleworth, West Sussex, where their flagship store and head office are still based today. Since launching in 2009, Sofas & Stuff has become a hallmark of excellence and expertise within the furniture industry. Each individual piece is lovingly handmade in Britain and can be upholstered in any fabric in the world.

The new Henley showroom is based at 2-4 Reading Road, Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, RG9 1AG. Opening times are Monday to Saturday from 10.00am to 5.30pm and Sunday & Bank Holidays from 11.00am to 5.00pm.
